Blessed

Inspriation Hills.jpg

My mind is too full today (and too tired) to put down a coherent thought. So today I am just going to leave you with a picture and a song.

The picture was taken a few years ago at a place called Inspiration Hills. I attended a women’s retreat this past weekend; at this same place. (No snow this year, but I love this particular picture of this amazing place.) There was much time spent serving and not so much sleep, but oh, so very many blessings.

Amazing women, messages of hope, restoration, fellowship, faith, time to linger and be still, time to laugh and cry…….a great weekend!

The song I share with you is one we sang a lot this year and has come to be a personal favorite. It is titled, “No Longer Slaves”.

I hope you are as blessed by this song as I was. The words are almost more than I can take in…..No longer a slave to fear. I am a child of God.  What a promise!

Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you.
Yes, I will help you.
Isaiah 41:10

I always wonder if that is a woman thing? But then I think guys have fear also….they probably just fear different things.
I know in the Bible there are 365 verses on “fear not”. I thought that was pretty cool….one for each day of the year. Now if I could just get my heart and my head to agree on that :).

Two of my favorites – the verse is my life verse & that’s one of my favorite songs! ☺

    Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for this. I really needed to hear these thoughts. My mind is so busy, as well, as we are preparing for the coming holidays. Lots of chatter. You helped me slow it down. The fear factor gets to me sometimes, but I simply chant my mantra about me and the Lord God and I am calm. Peace to you Chicken Grandma.

My brain just would not function yesterday. It is still a little iffy today LOL. I am wishing I would have had time to sit on that bench under the tree this past weekend as it was green and beautiful this time around. Maybe next year…….

I am so happy that you enjoyed such a fulfilling retreat. Inspiration Hills is such an ideal name for a gathering place for families and children. I am going to visit their website. The verse is also one of my favorites…so many are favorites…all are vital to our lives. It is just that some verses strike a special chord within us. Mo-Ranch is a wonderful Presbyterian retreat, camp, and conference center in the Texas Hill Country. Their website is https://www.moranch.org …if you visit the site, go to the Menu and click on Explore for some very nice pictures! This is ironical, but there is an area of the camp called Inspiration Point!

I am going to have to check out that link!
Inspiration Hills is an awesome place. They have been adding smaller lodges in the last couple years so family groups can rent them.
And yes it was a great weekend. Lots of God moments.

God moments…joyful moments! I looked at the website for Inspiration Hills last night! Looks so very wonderful! I was wanting to go there immediately! You mentioned a bench! At Mo-Ranch, there is also a bench or two at the high point of the land. Just right for quiet and personal contemplation!
